My History

The Early Years

I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1960 while my father was finishing his studies in architecture at Pratt Institute. The family then moved to East Hartford, Connecticut where we lived until I was half way through kindergarten. We moved to a home in West Hartford, CT in 1965.

How I Got Here

I became very interested in photography as a child. My Mother tells me that when I was 10, I fell into Yellowstone Lake at Yellowstone National Park trying to "get the RIGHT SHOT." I purchased my first SLR, a Minolta SRT 201, while in Junior High School. I moved on to a Minolta X700 in high school.
